Repose : Music and Event Center
In this project, my team and I were given three words or phrases to incorporate into our community center design. I worked on this project with a group of other students in my third-year multidisciplinary studio course. Any work that my team helped me create will be noted as teamwork. I was responsible for creating the design for the outdoor venue portion of the project. Repose is a community center with a focus on music and bringing people together. The project is located in Ferndale Michigan. Individuals receive earbuds and can tune into different types of music that will best support their needs. The space supports both high-energy and low-energy spaces. Programs in the space include private rooms, lounges, a workout room, sensory rooms, team building space, and indoor and outdoor venue space. This space welcomes diverse people from the surrounding cities like Detroit and Royal Oak to come together as one.
